Property excellent., spotlessly clean and well equipped. The host/Manager was very responsive when we encountered problems in accessing the property due to a stuck 'key pad' entry system. The only issue was directions to the property, given there were no signs directing us from the main road to the single track road to the hotel and cottages, it is not so remote it is only about 10 minutes drive to Alston but it is a a dead end so there were no onwards signs to assist us, the road only lead to the hotel and cottages. In such an area there are numerous single track farm roads leading off the main road and without a sign at the road end, it becomes difficult , especially in bad weather during the winter months to select the correct road, so would advise guests to give themselves enough time and fuel to navigate the last 1/2 mile to the cottage. Apart from that would highly recommend.
