Beaches Near The Grand Hotel Skegness

Being in a seaside resort town means you’re expecting to spend most of your time on the seafront, and Skegness won’t let you down. The award-winning (Blue Flag Award) Skegness Beach is a 5-minute leisurely stroll from The Grand Hotel. The extensive sandy beach with a vintage promenade and pier is undoubtedly what Skegness is known for. There are many activities to do such as donkey rides and the Fairy Dell paddling pool, you don’t have to worry about parking your car as there are plenty.

Anderby Beach, 20-minute from the hotel, is much smaller than Skegness Beach but a perfect if you bring your bucket and spade. The beach is popular “for sandcastle competitions, digging holes and all sorts of beachy business.” Feel the sand between your toes, maybe even a little of mud, let the water run through them and tickle you, and enjoy the rhythm of the ocean. How about holding an ice cream in hand and gazing into the vastness of the sea?

Closer to The Grand Hotel than Anderby Beach lies the caravan-dwellers-dream spot, Ingoldmells Beach. Drape over a jumper on your shoulders, get some help from the experts, and have a crack at sailing. If you’re not good at swimming, why not stay in shallows and do some splashy struggle in the water? And don’t forget to take a walk on the promenade and capture the breathtaking views.

A “near-tropical gem on the Lincolnshire coast,” Moggs Eye Beach (Huttoft) is known for its golden sands and grassy dunes. Surrounded by sandhills and unspoilt countryside, the beach is a perfect escape from busy everyday life. It’s up to you to make most of your time at the beach. It is definitely worth taking a 20-minute drive from The Grand Hotel to visit Moggs Eye Beach.
