2022-02-19
In continuation of our previous blog, we will have a look at other outstanding places you can visit with your partner on Valentine’s Day. Here is a list of things you can try in different towns and cities in the UK.
6. Cambridge
Cambridge has lots of natural and historical venues, each with its own appeal for a romantic rendezvous. There are plenty of riverside walks, museums, restaurants and many other attractions that you can use for a getaway with your partner.
Perhaps the best idea for Valentine’s Day in Cambridge is punting on the River Cam. It is a unique way of going around the city of Cambridge, seeing its landmarks from afar in motion, and meanwhile listening to the sound of the ever-flowing river and the touch of the row on its surface.
If you prefer a bird’s eye view of Cambridge from the sky to a boat trip on the river, then you can hire a local pilot and a Microplane from Fowlmere Aerodrome Memorial and fly over Cambridge University buildings or the Southeast Coastline, and have a thrilling time with your partner.
For those who want a more close-up experience with the natural attractions of the city, a visit to Cambridge University Botanical Garden or a stroll through the Manor Farm Woodland Walks is a must.
For long and short-term stays, Paymán Club offers a number of properties, each with its own specific apartment types, and you can find an accommodation of your choice for your nightly stays.
7. Torquay
The seaside town of Torquay in Devon is a great tourist resort, and as such, people visit the town for its great sites such as Babbacombe Theatre and Kents Cavern. Its coastal quality makes it a great destination for lovers to enjoy a lovely promenade along the beaches.
The most popular route for a walk is Goodrington to Brixham, which passes through Broadsands Beach, which is a fantastic coast with a great view of the sea. Elberry Cove and Churston Cove are also great compliments to the route and will add to your romantic experience until you reach the Brixham harbour.
There are also numerous lovely restaurants for a romantic dinner. Le Bistrot Pierre on Rock Walk is an amazing example. In this lovely French restaurant, you will be able to enjoy a fabulous dinner with your partner, while having a stunning view of the bay. There are numerous other restaurants you can try by checking our other blog.
For a brief or long stay in Torquay, The Maycliffe Hotel by Paymán Club is highly recommended. You might as well check the availability for your particular date and then book direct.
8. Stratford-upon-Avon
Stratford-upon-Avon is the birthplace of William Shakespeare, the creator of beautiful romantic sonnets and remarkable love stories such as Romeo and Juliet. So, visiting this city because of this iconic figure alone is the best gift you can give to your partner on Valentine’s Day.
Stratford’s attractions don’t stop here as there are a lot of marvellous things to see and do on that day. For those who prefer an indoor meeting, spending time in a vintage café with a poetic mood and a lyrical atmosphere is the best treat. The Shakespaw Cat Café exactly fits that description. It has both Shakespeare and cats as its themes, and you can have tea in Shakespeare-themed teapots alongside cute well-behaved cats.
If you are a lover of green places and gardens, a visit to the Butterfly Farm is exactly what you need. This butterfly paradise is a few minutes from the town centre, and has different species of birds and crawlies on display, as well.
For a luxurious apartment to stay the night in with your partner, we recommend Stratford Central Apartments by Paymán Club, as it has all the amenities needed for a wonderful romantic getaway.
9. Skegness
Skegness is another coastal town in England, whose seafront quality has made it a very popular destination for tourists. During the summer, it is one of the top destinations for visitors from all over the country, but even if you visit it during winter or Valentine’s Day, you still find it fascinating.
If the weather is good, you might as well head to Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve, especially for a lovely walk, enjoying the scenery, and observing the wildlife. You might even go to Lincolnshire Wolds, get a remarkable view of the countryside, and absorb the peace and beauty of the place.
There is also a lot to do if you intend to spend your time indoors, in a café or a museum. Going beyond Skegness, throughout the whole of Lincolnshire, romantic things abound and you may check our other blog, for a more wholesome list.
For a nighttime stay or even longer term, we recommend the Grand Hotel by Paymán Club, which is located in close proximity to Skegness Pier. Skegness Pier itself is a lovely spot for a romantic stroll with an outstanding view of the sea and wind turbines in the distance.
